Ruiji Liang and La Luna Hidalgo J&F conquer Longines Grand Prix in Beijing!

At the Equestrian Beijing Masters it was China's Ruiji Liang who jumped to victory in the 1.50m Longines Grand Prix. Together with Gilles Thomas' former La Luna Hidalgo J&F, Liang was the only combination to produce a double clear. “If anything I can do, any small success I can achieve, can help to promote equestrian sport in China then I am happy and proud!” said Ruiji Liang after winning the Grand Prix.

The jumps were set 1.50m heigh and the eventual victory was handed out after a Jump-Off with three combinations. Aboard Jordy van Massenhove and Gilles Thomas' former Belgian Warmblood-mare, La Luna Hidalgo J&F (H&M Cabrio Vd Heffinck), China' s Ruiji Liang jumped to the win after a double clear.

The pair was followed by Yaofeng Li and the 12-year-old Galetto S (Clarimo) placing second and Sweden's Rolf-Göran Bengtsson with the 12-year-old Gaultier VDL (Baloubet du Rouet) placing third.

Outside the stage, Ireland's Bertram Allen guided the 13-year-old Kick-Off AG (Prince van de Wolfsakker) to the fourth place, while Gregory Wathelet and Hummer RJ (Douglas) completed the top five.
