Shane Breen wins own sponsored class in Hickstead: "Maybe next time I should sponsor the King's Cup"

In Hickstead, the Breen Equestrian Queen Elizabeth II Cup was one of the highlights of the day. In this 1m50 with jump-off, victory went to Shane Breen. He rode Haya clear through the jump-off in 37.42 seconds. He thus managed to extend his title in this class by another year and take victory in his own sponsored class. "Maybe I should sponsor the King's Cup next year," he laughed afterwards.

Harriet Biddick and Night of Glory OL took home second place. They jumped a clear jump-off in 38.49 seconds. David Simpson and Flashback VL completed the top three after a clear round in 40.18 seconds.

Samie-Jo Coffin (Chaccomo Blue) and Adrian Whiteway (Chacco Volo) were fourth and fifth.

In the Royal International Speed Classic, there was a Brazilian victory. Francisco Jose Mesquita Musa rode Catch Me Marathon (by Contagio) fastest through the course. He made no jumping faults and clocked off in 64.35 seconds. Nicole Lockhead Anderson and Christian Street (by Christian 25) took home second place. They too had a course with no jumping faults.
