Sunshine Tour: Emannuele Camilli takes CSI4* Grand Prix victory

Spain's Vejer de la Frontera saw busy international-level show jumping again this weekend. One of the highlights of the weekend was the Grand Prix of the CSI4* competition. Ten combinations managed to get through the 1m55 high basic course without any jumping faults. A jump-off with ten therefore had to decide who could add this Grand Prix victory to his or her record of achievements.

In the jump-off, it was Italian Emannuele Camilli who jumped to victory with the BWP gelding Odense Odeveld (by Diamant de Semilly). The only 10-year-old gelding did not come close to the wood and clocked off i 38.26 seconds, more than enough to leave his first pursuer behind. That first pursuer was Michael Greeve. He also went clear in the saddle of 9-year-old Denver (by Diarado), stopping the chrono after 40.03 seconds. Imma Roquet Autonell and Icenta del Maset (by Indret del Masset) completed the top three after a clear round in 40.05 seconds.

Anthony Bourquard (White Gate) and Odile Gierech (No-Comment de Septon) completed the top five after clear barrages in 41.85 and 42.49 seconds.
