Sweden wins an exciting Nations Cup in Aachen

After the first round of the CHIO Aachen Nations Cup a total of five countries shared the leading position with four points. Eventually only the Swedish team managed to keep the second round clear, jumping to a glorious victory.

In an exciting battle for victory it was Peder Fredricson aboard his Namelus R-son, H&M Christian K who secured the victory. However, only Henrik von Eckermann managed to keep both rounds clear in the saddle of his 13-year-old Toveks Mary Lou (Montendro). With four points the Sweden team jumped to victory and referred Germany to the runner-up position.

Germany collected five points and saw only World Champion, Simone Blum with DSP Alice (Askari) jumping clear in both rounds. For Germany, Marcus Ehning decided not to start in the second round and save his Funky Fred (For pleasure) for the Grand Prix later this week.  The stage was completed by France with 12 points in total.

Bad news in this Nations Cup for team Belgium. As one of the leading teams after the first round an injury of Niels Bruynseels' sBs-stallion, Utamaro d'Ecaussines and a small blood stain with Gudrun Patteet's Sea Coast Valdelamadre Clooney (Centeuer Z) eliminated team Belgium, placing them seventh before team Switzerland.
