Team USA wins Pan American Games and Olympic ticket for Paris!

The USA jumping team did have a smile on the faces today in Santiago. After a bad kick-off on day 1, team USA claimed today's Gold Team Medal. Individually McLain Ward and his Contagious (Contagio, breeder: Andreas Eisenmenger) are in the lead!

Brazil was in the lead after the first day at the Pan American Games. The United States of America didn't appear to be the immediate favorite for the gold medal after that round.

However, the Americans still demonstrated supremacy. McLain Ward and Contagious, Kent Farrington and his Landon (ex. Crack de Nyze), as well as Laura Kraut riding Dorado 212, remained faultless over the two rounds today. Karl Cook and Caracole de La Roque  had a less successful first round but made a comeback in the second round, resulting in an impressive score of zero faults.

Ian Millar and his Canadian team followed in second place. Tiffany Foster for Canada achieved a double clear round with Figor.

Ultimately, the bronze medal goes to Brazil. Marlon Modolo Zanotelli had an off-day, leading to several mistakes and a voluntary withdrawal in the second round. This turned the team's gold medal hopes into a bronze.
