First at the start was Jimmy Torano aboard Day Dream (Zento x Heartbreaker). The pair won last year's Central Park US Open. This time they crossed the finish with one jumping fault in 46,229 seconds.
Meredith Michaels Beerbaum was the first to set a clear round in the saddle of Comanche 29 (by Coupe de Coeur). The combination crossed the finish in 40.796 seconds. Comanche 28, formerly known as Coupido 2 was before ridden by Marlon Zanotelli and Angelica Augustsson. Last year Beerbaum and Comanche 28 placed third in the world cup in Helsinki.
Today Beerbaum settled as runner-up, while Eric Lamaze jumped to victory. Together with Fine Lady 5 (Forsyth FRH) Lamaze stopped the clock in 40.269 seconds. Sergio Alvarez Moya placed third. With under the saddleG&C Unicstar d'Laume, Moya made it a clear finish in 40.802 seconds.
The top five was completed by Laura Chapot (ISHD Dual Star, by Quick Star) in fourth and Kevin Babington (Mark Q) in fifth. Both pairs jumped one rail down.
