Former AMEX Exec Sentenced to 22 Years for Killing Horse Trainer

According to police reports, Knight had strategically positioned himself in the yard belonging to Reisner and began shooting through the window into the house at him and another individual. Reisner was fatally injured from the gunshots and another individual inside the home was grazed in the arm. It has been later discovered that Knight had been living in Reisner’s home and was evicted prior to the incident. The prosecutor said Knight started sending harassing messages to Reisner and Murray last spring, including a box with a dead pigeon inside that contained a Bible passage that spoke of punishing wrongdoers. Spota said a second message allegedly sent from Knight to the couple quoted a Bible verse made popular in the 1990s film “Pulp Fiction,” again speaking about gaining vengeance for wrongdoing.

Knight pled guilty in December to charges of murder, attempted murder, aggravated harassment, and possession of an illegal weapon. Knight said “I plan to use the prison time to reflect on my actions”.
