Reed Kessler's Cylana sold to Cloe Hymowitz

Reed Kessler's Cylana sold to Cloe Hymowitz
Reed Kessler has announced the sale of her Olympic horse Cylana (Skippy II x Darco). The 14-year-old mare moves to the stables of the Hymowitz family in New York, NY. It will be 20-year-old female show jumper, Cloe Hymowitz who'll take over the reins.

As Cylana will now help her new rider's equestrian career boost, she will however return one day to Reed Kessler. The new owners agreed Β the mare will return for her retirement and breeding when she finishes her competition career with Hymowitz.

The combination Reed Kessler and Cylana jumped in the spotlight in 2012 when Reed became the youngest ever showjumper to compete at the Olympic Games. As a pair they won major Grand Prix competitions, including the President's World Cup of Washington, the international 5* Queen Elizabeth II Cup in Calgary and the 2012 Olympic Trials.

"I had no intention of selling Cylana," states Reed. "However I have been friends with Brianne Goutal, Cloe's trainer and I would not have considered selling Cylana to anyone else. I know Cylana will be treated with the necessary respect and that she will be as loved and cared for as she was in my stable," concludes Reed.
