Two years before Christian, Katrin Eckermann and Firth of Lorne got injured at the same fence. Eckermann broke her collar bone, Firth of Lorne eventually just had some minor injuries. In May that year, oin McMahon's horse Questfinder had to be euthanized after a fatal accident on the water in Munich.
This weekend the FEI has now gathered a meeting with the Show Jumping Commission to decide wether the water should be banned or not. All participating countries denied the motion. If the USEF still wants to persist, it will have to file its complaint and question during the General Assembly in Tokyo (November 19 - 22).
