Wilm Vermeir takes the win in Waregem with super fast round

The last class of the day has just finished at Waregem Horse Week. It finally stopped raining so the five star riders could show the best of themselves in a 1m50 class. In this class, riders competed against each other and against te clock. In the end the victory stayed in Belgium: Wilm Vermeir was the fastest of the 46 starting combinations.

Vermeir saddles his 13-year old top mare Getiane de La Pomme (f. Shindler de Muze). They jumped a clear round and stopped the time in 59,50 seconds. With this time, they were the only combinations who managed to keep the chrono under 60 seconds. Second place went to Gregory Wathelet. He jumped a fast, clear round with Iphigeneaia de Muze (f. Erco Van T Roosakker) and finished in 60,88 seconds. The third place went to the Canadian lady rider Kara Chad. Her 10-year old mare Viva (f. Now Or Never M) cleared the course in 60,95 seconds.

Paolo Amibilia followed on fourth place. She rode Chac Balou N, a Chacco-Blue offspring, clear to the finish in 61,12 seconds. Steve Guerdat followed on fifth place. With Victorio des Frotards (f. Barbarian) under the saddle, he finished in 62,46 seconds.
