5* victory for Shane Breen

In the run-up to the first round of the GCL, some riders already warmed-up with a five-star class. The win was for the Irishman Shane Breen.

Abdel Saïd started his 2nd phase as second last rider with the 8 years old Etincelle d'Ellipse (v. Apache d'Adriers) and shaked up the top three. With only 2 hundredths of a second difference, he couldn't stop Shane Breen from taking the win. The Irishman jumped in the saddle of Z7 Ipswich (v. Carembar de Muze) in a time of 23.49 to victory, a time no one was able to beat. Sameh El Dahan came another 2 hundredths later than Saïd and became third with WKD Toronto (v. Tornesch 1042).

Kevin Staut was close to the end still in third position but had to settle for fourth with Emir de Moens Harcour (v. Urlevent du Bary). Niels Bruynseels ended fifth with Diornella-D (v. Diamant de Semillt), followed by Jos Verlooy and FTS Killossery Konfusion (v. SIEC Livello) on six.

Saïd had another horse saddled for this class. Bandit Savoie (v. Qlassic Boit Margot) took a seventh place.
