Amanda Derbyshire retires her top mare Luibanta BH from the sport

Amanda Derbyshire announced that she will be retiring her 14-year-old top mare Luibanta BH (by Luidam x Abantos). At the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon they represented Great Britain and took home the bronze medal with the British team at the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam.

On her Instagram account Amanda Derbyshire writes the following: "Today we waved goodbye to Luibanta BH as she heads back across the pond to retire and breed. Lulu gave me everything for the last five years, she was a little mare with the biggest of hearts... I'll never be able to thank her enough for all she has given me, from jumping my first 5* Grand Prix to winning my first nations cup and many other classes! Together we represented Great Britain at the World Equestrian Games and the European Championships. Thank you to Becky Gochman,  for owning and keeping such a special horse for me and of course to all the people along the way who cared and supported us on our exciting journey. You made so many of this little girls dreams come true Lulu, and for that I owe you everything! Happy retirement princess!"
