Clash of the titans in GP Amsterdam: Epaillard beats Ehning

It was Julien Epaillard who claimed the victory in the exciting jump-off of the 1,60m Grand Prix of Amsterdam tonight. He did that with Toupie de la Roque (Kannan).

QUICK RESULT

1. Julien Epaillard - Toupie de la Roque
2. Marcus Ehning - Al La Carte NRW
3. Holly Smith - Denver

There's a reason why Julien Epaillard was announced as one the world's fastest riders when he entered the arena for the jump-off. He proved himself worthy of that title and took the first place from Marcus Ehning. Epaillard sent thirteen-year-old Selle Français mare Toupie de la Roque (Kannan) over the finish line in 29,58 seconds. That was 0,11 second faster than Marcus Ehning. He finished second with A La Carte NRW (Abke 4) for Germany. Holly Smith, who reappeared in the ring as second to go in the jump-off, finished third in 31,06 seconds.

Michael G Duffy put Ireland in the top five aboard twelve-year-old Irish bred Lapuccino (Livello). They proved themselves half a second faster than Bryan Balsiger with AK's Courage (Chepetto C).
