Deusser wins CSI5* LR of Doha with cool and collected jump-off round

To say that the jump-off of the CSI5* 1.55m Longines Ranking class in Doha was thrilling, would be an understatement. Daniel Deusser was the only rider to stay clear and beat Pieter Devos and Scott Brash.

QUICK RESULT

1. Daniel Deusser - Kiana vh Herdershof
2. Pieter Devos - Espoir
3. Scott Brash - Hello Shelby

Seven riders appeared in the jump-off of this 1.55m-high class. Of those seven, only one managed to clear all the fences: Daniel Deusser (GER). He piloted ten-year-old Kiana vh Herdershof (Toulon) to the first place in a controlled 40.54 seconds. Belgium's Pieter Devos and Espoir (Surcouf de Revel) were a lot faster with a time of 37.9 seconds, but four penalties sent them to the second place. Briton Scott Brash and the Stolzenberg-son Hello Shelby also had a fast time of 39.67 seconds. But they also got one down and finished third.

Austria's Max Kühner followed in the ranking in fourth place with Vancouver Dreams (Valentino), Penelope Leprevost (FRA) finished fifth with Varennes du Breuil (Jarnac).
