Balkenhol impresses jury in Frankfurt

In Germany, Frankfurt the morning victory was for Anabel Balkenhol. She was riding a De Niro-gelding, Dablino FRH. The German combination won on Friday the Grand Prix and today she also won the Grand Prix Special. She got a total score off 76.706%. On Friday in the Grand Prix the second place was for Fabienne Lütkemeier and she also claims this place in the Grand Prix Special.


Highlights were the transitions off piaffe-passage. Balkenhol also scored high on her gallop. All judges agreed that the best Special off the day was ridden by Balkenhol.


Fabienne Lütkemeier rode with the FLorestano-son Fabregaz to a new personal record in the Special, 74.608%. Lütkemeier started riding his horse in the spring and scored in the CDI4* in Stuttgard two times the third place.


The Swedish rider Michelle Hagman took the third place. She got a score off 72.784% for her performance with Happiness 26 (by Hochadel). Patrick van der Meer rode a Special with Zippo, a gelding by Rousseau. His percentage were between 73.137% and 69.137% and a final score of 70.941% what brought him the fourth place. The German rider Sanneke Rothenberger came really close to Van der Meer. She rode Wolke Sieben (by Wolkenstein II) and got  70.804%.
