Gareth Hughes takes the victory in Roosendaal's CDI3* Grand Prix Special
In Roosendaal, a busy international dressage weekend concluded with the CDI3* Grand Prix Special. 11 competitors entered the show ring for this class. The jury consisted of de Dutchman Francis Verbeek, the Belgian Jaques Van Daele, Maja Stukelj, Susanne Baarup and Sandy Phillips.

Eventually it was the British rider Gareth Hughes who convinced the jury the most. With Don Carissimo (f. Don Crusador) under the saddle, he got a total score of 72,490%. With this score he did better than the Danish rider Anders Dahl who ended on second place. He and Selten HW (f. Sandro Hit) rode a beautiful round that was scored with 72,012%. The top three was completed by the German lady rider Stella-Charlott Rith. She and her 13-year old gelding Rubin Action (f. Rohdiamant) got an overall score of 68,333%.

The Dutchman Jean-Rene Luijmens ended on fourth place. He saddled the 11-year old Sandrea son Aswin to ride to a total of 68,039%. Dominique Bunse completed the top five with First Edition 9 (f. Fiano).
