Germany takes the unbeatable lead in Rio de Janeiro

Yesterday the medals were handed-out to the Olympic eventing riders, today the dressage crew kicked-off with their own Grand Prix at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The last days the weather was beautiful and bright shining, today however somerain distrubed the competitive schedule several times.

The Dressage Grand Prix is ridden in two days. In the Nations Cup the favorit countries occupy the current stage. Germany takes the lead with a total of 79.157% and is followed by the Netherlands. The orange dressage-team collected a total of 75.271%. Great-Britain is currently completing the stage with a total of 74.921%.

Earlier we reported the retirement of Adelinde Cornelissen and Parzival. Therefor the Dutch all three results will be counted for for the Nations Cup.

Individually it is as well Germany who colours the current lead. Dorothee Schneider takes the lead aboard Showtime FRH. She impressed the judges, good for 80.986%. Sonke Rothenberger followed her fellow countrywomen in a second place with Cosmo, good for 77.329%.

Great-Britain's Fiona Bigwood and Orthilia got a total of 77.157%, placing third in the provisional ranking. Edward Gal and Voice place currently fourth and are followed by USA's Kasey Perry-Glass with Dublet (75.229%).
