Kristina Sprehe new German dressage champion
The remarkable absent in this years German dressage Championships was Helen Langehanenberg and Damon Hill. In the absence of this number one duo it was the 2012 Olympian Kristina Sprehe and the 13-year-old Desperados who claimed this years German Dressage Champions titel. The pair won all three round in last week-ends competition. Sprehe won with an 83.784% in the Special and 90.150% percent in the Kür.

The Grand Prix Special silver was for ulla Salzgeber and Herzruf's Erbe (by Herzeruf). With a score of 77.627% they just stayed a fraction ahead of Fabienne Lutkemeier riding her Hanoverian gelding D'Agostino (by De Niro).  Germany's main name, Isabell Werth, had to be satisfied with an eventual fourth place. Riding Don Johnson (by Don Frederico) she had an issue in the transition in piaffe. The refusal was punished with the necessary point-los. Nevertheless Werth mastered the kür, collecting a big 86.625% score, good for the silver medal in that class.
