Valentine Truppa puts her 20 year old Chablis on retirement
With his 20 years old he is one of the oldest dressage horses in the topsports this moment. But now his rider Valentine Truppa has decided that it's time for her buddy Chablis to put him on his retirement. The combination had their last performance during the Olympic Games in Rio last year.

The pair entered the five star competition of Wiesbaden in 2016 where they ended up in third place in the Kür and a fifth place in the Grand Prix. One month earlier it was in Valencia that they ended up in second place in the Kür. At the Olympic Games the pair didn't look to be in topshape and ended up in 52th place.

The in Denmark born Fixdesign Chablis (Castro x Fauna) can now enjoy his old day in the paddock.

Truppa and her Chablis became succesful during their Young Riders time. Over the years the pair won in 2015 in French's Vidauban, but also in that year they won in Treffen and Lipica.

The official retirement will take place during CSI Verona later this year in oktober.
