Again bad luck for New Zealander Jock Paget and his horse Clifton Lush. Top winner of the had qualified for Rio and then needed to pull out of the race after an injury in the stables. Clifton needed an amazing amount of 100 stitches but amazingly recovered. But now the poor horse put himself in a situation he could not come back from.
During a moment in the field Clifton Lush had somehow sustained such severe injuries that owner Sophie Allison had to put him down.
"Absolutely gutted to say that yesterday we had to put Clifton lush to sleep" his owner starts her message on Facebook.
