GB team announced for third event in the 2017 FEI Nations Cup
British Eventing is pleased to announce the team that will represent Great Britain in the third competition of the 2017 FEI Nations Cup at Tattersalls (IRL) 31 May – 4 June.

The team are, in alphabetical order;

Alexander Bragg (36) Somerset, rides the 14 year old mare Swang Crackers II owned by Mr and Mrs Roe.

Pippa Funnell, (48) Surrey, on her own, Filippo Friedenberg and the Late Carol Toliver’s 12 year old gelding Billy the Biz or Mrs Sara Sjoborg Wik’s 15 year old gelding Chippieh.

Kitty King, (34) Wiltshire, with the 8 year old gelding Vendredi Biatts owned by Diana Brown, Samantha Wilson, Sally Eyre and Sally Lloyd-Baker.

Michael Owen, (38) Cheshire, riding the 17 year old gelding The Highland Prince, owned by Elizabeth G Mayer.

Reserve Nicky Roncoroni (38) Gloucestershire will rider Watts Burn the 12 year old gelding owned by Janey Roncoroni and Lorna Mcwilliam.

Kitty King has started her season with Vendredi Biats on flying form, finishing all of their runs in the top ten and taking the win on two occasions. She is joined by the established partnership of Michael Owen and The Highland Prince who make this their first Nations Cup appearance. Pippa Funnell will ride either her Rio 2016 partner, Billy the Biz, or new ride Chippieh. Alexander Bragg makes his second Nations Cup selection following his team silver placing at the opening leg in Strzegom, Poland, this time with Swang Crackers II.

The second, and home leg, of the series is being hosted at Houghton International Horse Trials this weekend (25 – 28 May) and GB will be hoping to build on their second place finish.
