Jung and Sam take second Olympic titel in Rio

What a unbelieveble rolecoaster ride it was this Olympics and what a legend is Michael Jung who takes gold for second time riding his 2012 Olympic steed La Biostique Sam.

Starting on fifth place after dressage the German rider was in pursuit of individual leader William Fox-Pitt and Chilli Morning. But as like never before Jung and his Sam flew around the course with 15 seconds left on the clock to get into second place behind Australia's Christhopher Burton.

Leaving behind Fox-Pitt who had a unlucky run-out in cross country and dropped to 22nd place.

In the closing showjumping it was again the Germans that showed their excellent jumping skills. And it was hero Jung who kept the a cool head and rode a clear taking the silver with the team and slipping into the lead ahead of Burton who had two poles down and finished third behind French rider Astier Nicolas.

During the second and final jumping the pressure was on all the top three riders. And when Astier had a pole down the pressure was of the German master. However in style he finished his course with a super clear round taking home the Gold for second time in a row a feat that only Charles Pahud de Mortanges and Mark Todd, who finished in 7the place this Olympics, ever had done before.
