Gerrit Nieberg wins the World Cup Grand Prix of Leipzig in front of home crowd

The closing class at Partner Pferd Leipzig was the one everyone was looking forward to: The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Grand Prix of Leipzig. Gerrit Nieberg won in front of his home crowd on Blues d'Aveline CH (by Baloussini).

In a jump-off with twelve, Richard Vogel quickly set the time to beat at 37.08 in the saddle of Looping Luna (by Lord Fauntleroy). Yuri Mansur was the first to be able to come closest to their time, finishing more than two seconds later on Vitiki (by Valentino 240). Pius Schwizer, who entered as second to last in the ring on Vancouver de Lanlore (by Toulon) did just a little better and put himself ahead of Mansur on two. Gerrit Nieberg came in last with Blues d'Aveline CH (by Baloussini) and clearly had his sights set on winning. Without making any mistakes, he crossed the finish line with the chrono at half a second less than Vogel.

The win remained at home and was for Nieberg. Vogel had to settle for second place and Schwizer concluded the top three.
