Harry Charles claims victory in the 1.60m Coupe de Genève class

The British rider Harry Charles rode an impressive jump-off in the 1.60m class of Geneva, Switzerland and went home with the gold ribbon. As the last rider to go in the pressure was on for Charles. He made everyone sit on the edge of their seat with some spectacular turns and incredible speed.

With his gelding Borsato (by Contendro I) he managed to stay clear and cross the finish line in 36,07 seconds in the jump-off. Brazilian rider Rodrigo Pessoa could count on Carlito's Way 6 (by Casall) to claim the second place with a time of 36,29 seconds. Dutch rider Harrie Smolders took the last spot on the stage. With Monaco (by Cassini II) he left the poles untouched and rode a fast time of 36,75 seconds. Smolders put down quite a performance as the bridle of his horse broke while he was riding. Luckily they crossed the finish line unharmed and even managed to ride to a third place!

The top five rankings were completed by Belgium with Zoe Conter (Dawa de Greenbay Z) on fourth and Francois Jr Mathy (Uno de la Roque) on fifth place.
