Jerome Voutaz surpresses Dutch competition in Opening Class FEI Driving World Cup

On the fourth day of Jumping Mechelen, the drivers took out their four-in-hand from the stables. In the opening competition, Jerome Voutaz kept the Dutch competition behind and takes confidence for the upcoming classes.

The drivers had to get up early to grease their carriages for the opening class. To warm up, they gathered for the first time in the opening section of the FEI Driving World Cup. Jerome Voutaz got off to a strong start with a score of 261.49. With the smallest difference of 0.67 Chardon ended up in second place. The Netherlands is already living up to the expectations with Koos de Ronde also having an excellent start with 266.73 points and a third place.

Belgians Glenn Geerts and Dries Degrieck followed on place four and five. Geerts had 268.09 points on the board, Degrieck had 279.15.
