Looking back on 2020: the best stallions of the past year

2020 was not only a separate year for the sport, also the breeding was not quite as normal. However, Corona mainly had a positive effect on breeding: several stallions that jump normal competitions and therefore breed less were now available. We will list for you the best breeding stallions of 2020.

Casallo Z (v. Casall)

Sturdy, well built and powerful is how the 16-year-old stallion Casallo Z (Casall) is described. This stallion can look back on a successful career of his own and is increasingly making his mark on breeding. The Casall son was born in the stable of Maurice Hermans. It soon became clear that the qualities were almost infinite. At Tal Milstein Stables he developed himself and jumped - with results - to the highest level under the saddle of a.o. Piergiorgio Bucci.

George Z (v. Kannan)

George Z is a direct son of the phenomenon Usha van 't Roosakker. This breeding sensation first earned her stripes in the sport. However, when her first offspring showed up, Usha showed her exceptional inheritance qualities. Her sons and daughters have the same inheritance power, which makes them the world's most sought-after horses!

Kafka vd Heffinck (v. Calvaro)

The 10 year old BWP approved Elite stallion by Calvaro x Diamant de Semilly has put himself in the spotlight for several years. Every competition in every year he got the best out of himself with different riders. This proves Kafka's exceptional good mentality which is very important today!

Piece of Cake M (v. Diamant de Semilly)

This five year old stallion with very interesting pedigree has all the qualities to make it in the sport! His perfect technique on the jump, scope and carefulness he shows time and time again. He has an excellent attitude and balance which makes him a pleasure to ride. A sire as world champion and a mother of top sire Diamant de Semilly together, gives a lot of hope for the future!

Corydon from T&L (v. Cornado I)

This high-profile 9-year-old stallion is Zangersheide approved & descends from Cornado I x Chacco-Blue x Lancer III. His offspring speak for themselves and are called very promising! His first approved son was Quatre Mai-L (Corydon x Toulon), who was also declared Champion of the BWP Stallion approvals in 2019. Corydon was reserve sire of the Oldenburg approval in 2013.
