Martin Fuchs shines in World Cup competition Lyon

Thirteen combinations qualified for the Jump-Off in the 1.60m World Cup competition of Lyon. It was eventually reigning European Champion who conquered the class. For Fuchs  it is his second world cup victory in a row in Lyon.

Aboard his golden European horse, Clooney 51 (Cornet Obolensky), Fuchs turned the competition to his hand after a clear round in 41.27 seconds. USA's Jessica Springsteen dit a great effort closing in on Fuchs' time, eventually settling for the runner-up position with her 12-year-old Acolord-daughter, RMF Zecilie.

As second but last rider at the start, Pieter Devos jumped to the third place in this Worldcup competition with his 11-year-old Zangersheide-mare, Claire Z.

The combination was followed by Emanuele Gaudiano aboard Chalou (Chacco Blue) and France's Julien Epaillard with his Quality-mare, Queeletta.
