Jumping Lummen 2022 is officially canceled. The international show jumping tour that would run from 28 April to 8 May has been canceled completely. Also the Euregio will no longer take place. The cancellation is due to the limited number of registrations. "For the two weeks of showing together we needed a certain number of horses and we are running too short," the organization announced.
The team of Jumping Lummen has tried to find a financial solution for the low number of registrations but couldn't figure it out. As a result, they were forced to cancel the competition. "We would have taken a certain loss but this is just too much," says the organization. "The amount of horses we are short makes a financial difference we can't pull off. We have counted and recounted but because we have to build everything from scratch the cost is just too high."
"We were ready, the arenas are in perfect shape and the stables were under construction. We would still like to thank all the people who wanted to support us morally and even financially, we'll see what the future brings," they conclude.
