Germany and British Francesca Reid-Warrilow on top at Rural Championships
While we had two weeks of European Championships in Aachen, Helvoirt in the Netherlands welcomed the rural riders for their own European Championship. Germany took home the gold medal, followed by Great-Britain. Belgium, who had no luck in Aachen, returned home with the bronze rural riders medal.

Individual Belgium's national Rural Champion, Bart Hermans, returned with a bronze medal. Aboard the 9-years-old Gorki van de Pertjeshoeve (by Electro) he finished with a ttal score of 48.40 points. Only Germany's Frank Feldmann and Great-Britain's Francesca Reid-Warrilow did better.

Feldmann and Florenz 64 scored a splendid cross country, finishing second. Their dressage score of 71.25% brought them into the fourth place. Unfortunately the showjumping result of four points brought the final score to 47.10. Almost seven points more as Gold Medal winner, Francesca Reid-Warrilow. The British and her KWPN-mare Dolly Wisper finished first in both cross-country and dressage. Although they had a clear show jumping course, they placed seventh in that class, resulting in the overall victory.
