Maher could count on the nine year old Zangersheide stallion Cirus du Ruisseau Z (by Chellano Z) with whom he completed in the fast time of 57.22 seconds. With that time he dove under the result of Italy's Lorenzo De Luca and his Cheindira (by Chagall van de Burggrave), whom he recently took over from Pedro Veniss. Now the new combination finished with a second place in 57.60 seconds just before Pablo Barrios and Le Vio (by Van Gogh) who claimed third place in 57.95 seconds.


For Brasil it was Eduardo Menezes who took fourth place aboard H5 Uchingo (by Chin Chin) in 58.29 seconds. He was followed by a fifth place for Juan Pablo Betancourt and Walnut (by Costello). Irish rider Darragh Kenny stranded on sixth place aboard the BWP Kavalli di Magico (by Emerald).
