Andrzej Oplatek wins Gold Tour - class at today's Baltica Tour

At the Baltica Tour visitors and fans could celebrate a polish victory in today's main class. In a thrilling jump-off Andrzej Oplatek stayed ahead of German Uwe Schmitz and Laimondas Skerys and secured 2000€ prize money.

Eight of the 27 competitors returned to the arena at Ciekocinko Stables in the north of Poland after finishing the difficult 1.40m - course without penalties. In the jump-off every second counted and in the end it was Andrzej Oplatek who took home the victory. Aboard 11-year-old Light my Fire (v. Lenardo) he crossed the finish line in 37:54 seconds and was celebrated by his home crowd. Germany's Uwe Schmitz and the For Keeps - son Farewell came in second after staying off the rails in 37:68 seconds. Laimondas Skerys from Lithuania closed the winning three by finishing his round aboard the KWPN gelding Carlsberg (v. Lord Z) clear in 37:96 seconds.

His collegue Matas Petraitis and the grey Daliante M (v. Zürich) secured the fourth place by producing another clear round in 39:52 seconds. Paulina Rybarczyk and her 8-year-old stallion Cantini closed the Top 5 with the fastest 4-penalty ride in the jump-off.
