Today at the Horse of the Year Show in Birmingham The Thistledown Stakes fell prey to Swedish rider Angelie von Essen. She and her Cochella (by Cartani) finished in a time of 33.90 seconds.
She stayed ahead of Irish rider Denis Lynch aboard Caruso (by Chacco Blue) who fell back to second place with 34.07 seconds. Michael Whitaker and his Valmy de la Lande (by Mylord Carthago) came in third place.
