Belgians and Spanish triumph in Bonheiden
At the CSI2* competition in Bonheiden, Belgium, it was Belgian Anthony Wellens who speeded to victory in the 1.40m Grand Prix qualifier on Friday. Aboard the nine year old Grace vh Uilhof he finished clear in 53.31 seconds. Dutch Leopold Van Asten followed in a second place with VDL Groep Amelie, setting the time at 55.69 seconds. Third spot was for Vincent Lambrechts and Zafira.

A total of 41 horse-rider combinations finished without touching the wood. That is almost 50% of the competitors. The top five was completed by Nikita Taveirne with Ballerina van Sappenleen and Maikel van der Vleuten with VDL Groep Aristo Z.

In the 1.35m it was Santiago Diaz Orteg with H.C.S.R Center (by Cento). The 1.20m victory was for Steve Auwers with the 10 year old Checker 27 (by Chico's Boy).
