Bert Romp is the most legendary Jumping Legend of Indoor Brabant
During the festive Thursday evening several jumping legends returned to the competition ring. The spectators saw a good number of top riders compete in the Jumping Legends class. And they did a great job!

The battle was fierce and stayed exciting till the very last rider. In the jump-off Belgium’s Dirk Demeersman took an early lead, but third last to go Bert Romp clocked a faster time. Next to go, Franke Sloothaak , was not able to beat Romp’s time. Then it was only Piet Raijmakers left to bette the set time. It looked as if he was going to succeed, but at the end he just came a few strides short.

Earlier that evening it was Raf Kooremans in the eventing competition during the opening of the 50e Indoor Brabant. The Dutch rider was nearly 5,5 seconds faster than second placed Virginie Caulier from Belgium with Nepal du Sudre. Raf rode a clear round with the KWPN mare Cavalor Chai Chai in 72.87 seconds. The Belgian rider was clear too, but she needed 78.1 seconds to clear the finishline. Third place went to Holland’s Nienke van Roekel and Gentleman (0/78.85).
