The first round had a very difficult course, resulting in only two riders placing themselves for the jump-off: the Brazilian rider Rodrigo Marinho and the Swiss rider Pius Schwizer. Schwizer decided to retire, so Marinho won the class with a clear jump-off in 34,44 seconds. He saddled Cleofas Van Westuur (Toulon) for the job. Pius Schwizer followed on second place with PSG Future (Cash And Carry).
Louis Sabino Goncalves ended on third place. He and Filou Imperio Egipcio (Querly Ybet Hero) jumped a clear first round, but one time penalty kept them from the jump-off. Richard Howley and Chinook (Tygo) were the fastest combination with 4 faults. They ended on fourth place. James Smits and Tyson Uno (This Uno) took account of the fifth place.
