Christian Ahlmann tops the Stuttgart World Cup
It is Christian Ahlmann who surprised and excited the crowd with a 1.60m world cup victory this afternoon in Stuttgart, Germany. The Zangersheide-show jumping rider jumped to victory aboard the Galoubet A-sire, Taloubet Z. The pair made a clear finish in 42.85 seconds, over two seconds faster as runner-up Steve Guerdat.

Taloubet Z is a 16-year-old KWPN-sire. The stallion jumped together over 870,000 Euro in earnings in the past two years.

Former Olympic Champion, Guerdat followed in a second place with Bianca (Balou du Rouet x VDL Cardento). The combinations crossed the finish in 44.95 seconds. Ireland's Cian O'Connor and the Belgian Warmblood-stallion, Good Luck (by Canturo) placed third after stopping the clock in 45.03 seconds.

Switzerland's Martin Fuchs (Clooney 51, by Cornet Obolensky) and Janne-Friederieke Meyer (Goja 27, by Wandor vd Mispelaere) followed in a fourth and fifth place.

Scott Brash and his Ahorn-daughter Ursula XII had an off-day. The combination didn't manage to get classified.
