The CSI5*-riders just made their warm-up today, preparing for tomorrow and Saturday's Grand Prix. Today the spotlights at the opening were on John Perez and the 9-years-old Chianti Classico (by Numero Uno). From the 16 faultless combinations they set the fastest time stopping the clock in 55.34 seconds.
Mexico's Alejandro Mills followed in a second place aboard his grey gelding Carlos 519 (by Calido Ass). The pair left a gap with the number one of almost one second. Brasil's Rodrigo Lambre ensured an international stage finishing third. Together with the 8-years-old stallion Contecord (by Contefino) he finished clear in 57.31 seconds.
The top five of this class was completed by Pablo Torres Hernandez (Celesta 21) and Andres Azcarraga (Luminoso Ls) both representing Mexico.
