Enrique Gonzalez tops the Del Mar World Cup
While the East Coast offered an exciting 5* Grand Prix action, the West-Coast presented the Del Mar worldcup qualifier with a total of 28 combinations at the start. The jumps set at a height of 1.45- 1.60m, it was Mexico's Enrique Gonzalez and Chacna (Chacco-Blue x Narew xx) who topped the class.

Only three combinations produced a clear first round, advancing to the jump-off. Gonzalez stopped the clock in 40.93 seconds. France's (local) show jumping rider, Eric Navet followed as runner-up. Navet and Catypso (Catoki x Calypso II) crossed the finish in 43.15 seconds. The pair was followed by Eduardo Menezes and the 9-year-old Catalina (by Chacco-Blue).

The top five was completed by Nayal Nassar (Lordan 5) and Karl Cook (Tembla) in a fourth and fifth place.
