Just over a second slower was Robert's father John, who crossed the finish line in 33.62 seconds with the 14 year old stallion Argento ( Arko III x Gasper). With father and son in the top two positions, it was American rider Kent Farrington and Aron S (Tadmus x Karandasj) who finished in third place, ending the Whitaker reign.
American rider Beezie Madden (Quister) and Swedish rider Malin Baryard Johnsson (Corporal VDL) finished in fourth and fifth place respectively.
