France crowns new Show Jumping Champion
Last week-end the 27-year-old Alexandra Paillot jumped to victory at the national Show Jumping Championships in Fontainebleau, France. Aboard the 12-year-old gelding Polias de Blondel (by Desir du Chateau) Paillot jumped two clear rounds in the finals. Starting in a sixth position they left the other combinations behind them.

Paillot is riding Polais de Blondel for about one year now. Earlier this month she finished fourth in the international three-star Grand Prix at the CSIO in Arezzo, Italy. Silver medal was for Guillaume Foutrier and Sparco de Virton. Romain Lavigne and Pharaon Belle Menee completed the stage.

Fourier started his final rounds in third position, Lavigne did better starting 13th and finishing 3rd. Last year's Champion, Timothee Anciaume did not compete as he was defending the 'tri-color' in Barcelona at the FEI Furusiyya Nations Cup.
