French dominate Emirates Gold Cup
In LA the highlight of the evening was the 'Emirates Gold Cup'.It was a 1,55m class with two rounds. Only the best ten riders from the first round could start in the second round and that second round was a French demonstration! France didn't only take the first place, but the second and third one as well!

Victory was for Kevin Staut. He rode Elky van het Indihof HDC in 35,52 seconds to first place. Staut and Elky jumped a clear first round as well. The ex-number one of the world, Simon Delestre, saddled Chesall Zimequest Β for this class. Chesall didn't touch any fence in any of the rounds, but with 35,79 seconds Delestre was only a little bit slower than Staut. Third place went to another Frenchman, Julien Epaillard. He and Safari d'Auge (Diamant de Semilly SF) jumped two clear rounds.

Fourth place was for the young American rider Jessica Springsteen. She and Tiger Lily (Balou du Rouet) got one jumping penalty in the first round, but in the second round they managed to keep the wood untouched. Same story with another French rider, Patrice Delaveau who finished on fifth place with Leontine Ledimar HDC.
