Germany takes deserved win in Nations Cup Aachen
In a fight amongst heavy weights in showjumping it was home team Germany that pulled together and took home the win in tonight exciting Nations Cup from Aachen.  France who had a bad start manage to come alongside the USA having them tie for the second price in the final round.

From the start it were Germany and the USA batteling it out with both nations finishing the round with on zero penalty points. With Germans first rider, Christian Ahlman and Epleasure van t Heike, making one mistake and USA's Beezie Madden not even having to start after three clear rounds from her team it seemed that the States had the upper hand in Aachen. France came out on third spot after both Kevin Staut and Philippe Rozier had seen a pole come down, meaning the pressure was on with 'Les Blues' on only four penalty points.

However the tables turned in the second round when McLain Ward and his horse Rothchild had a very unusual round with ten penalty points. Meanwhile Germany and France were racking up clear rounds like there was no tomorrow, putting on the presure for Americans leading lady Elizabeth Madden.  With Germany  still on zero penalties Beezie and her top horse Cortes C needed to jump the course flawless and proceed to battle on in a head to head jump off. However disaster struck in the line over the famous Aachener moat when Cortes dipped his foot in the water giving the win away to the home team.

Meanwhile Frances Kevin Staut and Estouy Aqui de Muze HDC did also have no luck in the second round and came out of the ring with eight penalty points. But team mates Philippe Rozier, Pénélope Leprevost and Roger Yves-Bost were able to keep clear from mistakes, making France finish second together with the USA.
