Germany's Cascais Charms top the GCL in Shanghai
The last day of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai concluded with the fourth edition of the Global Champions League. In this concept the top riders from different countries unite to compete on the same team ensuring electrifying competitions over a Championship season.

After the Antwerp Diamonds victory in the last leg in Antwerp, it were now the Cascais Charms who rode to victory. Germany's Andreas Kreuzer and David Will collected a total of 2 points. Andreas and the 12-year-old Zerafina rode a double clear. Compatriot David Will tacked up the 10-year-old Carthago-daughter Monodie H, finishing with two time penalties in the last round.

Valkenswaard United was this time represented by Brasil's Eduardo Menezes with Caruschka 2 (by Caspar) and Alberto Zorzi with Fair Light van T Heike (by Vigo D Arsouilles). The team collected a total of four points placing second. Represented by two Belgian's the Paris Jets finished third. Gregory Wathelet (Eldorado van het Vijverhof) and Olivier Philippaerts (H&M Henna de Goedereede) finished also with four points, but in a time of over 2 seconds slower as the Valkenswaard United.

The top five was completed by the Monaco Aces with Leopold Van Asten (VDL Groep C Tara Z) and Maikel van der Vleuten (VDL Groep Quatro) in a fourth place. Fifth was for Doha Fursan Qatar with Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani (Anyway II) and Faleh Suwead Al Ajami (Come Soon). The top five limited the points to a total of four penalties
