The Pearl Stakes in Windsor a CSI5* 1m55 Longines Ranking class fell prey to Belgian rider Gregory Wathelet. He and his Spike vd Withoeve (by Sting vd Withoeve) took the competition in 36.59 seconds.

With that time he beat Bertram Allen who up until then was in the lead with his Izzy by Picobello (by Cicero Z) with whom he took second place in 36.59 seconds. Canadian rider Eric Lamaze may have lend his horse Fine Lady 5 to his stable rider, but with Chacco Kid (by Chacco Blue) he took a third place.
