Today, we're already up to the last day of the second week in Valkenswaard, the home resident of mr. Global Champions Tour, Jan Top himself. This morning, the finale for the 7-year old horses was ridden. The horses had to jump fences built op to 1.35 m high. The combinations that managed to ride a clear first round, had to come back in the jump off. Eventually 16 combinations managed to left the wood untouched in the first round. Of those 16, Scott Brash once again was the fastest. He and Hello Mr. President (Comme D'Api Jr) passed the finish line in 31.82 seconds. Brash is riding this horse for almost a year now.
The fast young Irishman Bertram Allen stood in the lead for a very long time. He and Etoile de Loma (Clinton) finished in 28,25 seconds. Fast, but not fast enough to beat Scott Brash. Steve Guerdat and Vaya de Brenil (Clinton) jumped to third place. The Belgian vice-European champion, Gregory Wathelet and Sandero (Sandro Boy) left the wood untouched as well. He finished in 38,88 seconds, which was awarded with a fourth place. Espen K. Johansen and Larnaca (Aristo Z) completed the top 5.
