Horse of the Year Show: Twomey on top

At the Horse of the Year Show in Birmingham, a Accumulator was ridden this afternoon. This means the riders get points for every fence they jump. For the accumulator, they get extra points. The maximum amount of points in this class was 65.

The victory was for the Irish rider Billy Twomey. He and Ardcolum Duke (Gypsy Duke) got the maximum of the points. They also jumped the fastest round. They reached the finish line in 43,05 seconds. Julien Epaillard ended on second place. He speeded to the silver medal with Quatrin De La Roque (Quick Star). The top three was completed by John Withaker and Echo of Light (Come on). They got the maximum amount of points as well. They crossed the finish line in 44,06 second, rewarding themselves with a third place.

The fourth and fifth place were for Ireland. Anthony Condon and Balzac (Oklund) ended on fourth place. Cian O'Connor and Aramis 573 (Askari) took account of the fifth spot. Anna Power and Chesterfield Z completed the top six.
