The pair took a fast line from the WEG Caen 2014 Jump to the Krismar Horse trucks vertical, resulting in a close distance. Eventually Allen completed the Jump-Off with eight points in 35.97 seconds. Great-Britain's Steven Franks followed with a clear round aboard the AES-gelding, Brutus III (Billy Congo), taking the lead.
Eventually it were the last two young riders in the arena who speeded to the top of the Grand Prix ranking. Last in the ring of the 1.45m Grand Prix was Belgium's Gilles Thomas. Thomas jumped to victory with his 8-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, Konak (Nabab de Reve). He was followed by Gilles Nuytens aboard Jade S (Diarado).
