Irish show jumping riders dominate on home ground in Dublin
In today's opening CSIO5* class in Dublin the international riders were no match for the home field. The jumps were set at a height of 1.45m and the the time was the main actor in thisAvery Crest Ski Chalets Speed stakes.

Former Olympic rider, Cian O'Connor set the fastest time aboard the 9-year-old Holsteiner-stallion, Aramis 573 (by Askari). The combination won after a finish in 51.92 seconds. Last week O'Connor already won two classes at the CHIO in Aachen, today he continued his great form.

Compatriot Bertram Allen followed as runner-up with the 12-year-old Quiet Easy 4 (by Quidam's Rubin). The pair finished in 52.51 seconds.  Third place was for Olympic qualified rider, Greg Patrick Broderick and the 12-year-old Zuidam (by Guidam).

The complete top five coloured Green. Billy Twomey (Ardcolum Duke) and Darragh Kenny (Global van 't Braunerthof) completed the top five in fourth and fifth place. Gianni Govoni and Winn Winn were the best international combination. The pair stopped the clock in 54.54 seconds, good for the sixth place.
