Italian victory in Verona, Cornet d'Amour back in the show ring

In Verona, a 1,45m class has just ended. 45 riders entered the show ring and battled it out against each other and against the clock. It was the Italian rider Juan Carlos Garcia who took the victory in front of his home crowd. Moka de Mescam (v. Melkoir du Montois) left the wood untouched and finished in 54,26 seconds.

The German rider Marcel Marschall ended on second place with Cassius van de Smis (v. Cardento). They jumped a clear round in 55,00 seconds. Gianni Govoni and his stallion Larbraker (v. Larino) completed the podium. They jumped a clear round in 55,83 seconds.

Michael Duffy (Castleforbes Talitha) and Filippo Marco Bologni (Quidich de la Chavee) completed the top five.

It was also the first time that Daniel Deusser entered the show ring again with Cornet d'Amour. Because of an injury, This Cornet Obolensky son missed the Olympics and CHIO Aachen this year. The gelding had to recover from his injury for six months, but now he's back in business. Deusser rode a easy, clear round with Cornet and ended on 13th place.
