Eventually it was Ralph Lauren's new sponsored rider, Jessica Springsteen and the 9-year-old Tiger Lily (by Balou du Rouet) who set the unbeatable time of 37.55 seconds. Alberto Zorzi did his best, but had to settle as runner-up, riding Fair Light van T Heike (by Vigo d'Arsouilles). The pair stopped the clock in 38.08 seconds.
Belgium's Nicola Philippaerts followed with the 9-year-old H&M Harley v. Bisschop (by Dulf Van Den Bisschop), finishing third. The top five was completed by Ramzy Hamad Al Duhami (Bayard van de Villa Theresia) and Kevin Jochems (Zanzibar).
In the CSI1* Grand Prix it was Anna Edwards and Z-gelding, Chesterfield Z (by Chippendale Z) who jumped to victory.
